In the Lives of Children

Only one week after Ben turnes 5 he starts kindergarten. Its a huge sigh of relieve for Anne and Allison, who have had to stay with him the past 5 years. Ben is very excited about school and makes it clear that he doesn't want to make friends, but he does want to be on the football team.



As much as he tries to pretend he is not nervous, Ally can see the hint of discontentment in his eyes. A mother knows their children, even if their children are hellions.

At this point it doesn't seem like Ally will ever make it back to work. With a child, a toddler, and an infant, life stays busy. She is working as hard as she can to teach little Bryan all of his skills before Brodey is a toddler and while Ben is at school. Bryan is a lot smarter than she knows. He may not can speak or walk yet, but something very special is going on with Bryan.

After Ben's first day of school he burst through the door, "Mom, Mom," he screamed as he slammed the door. Ally rushes down the stairs, "Shhh, sweety your brothers are taking a nap. How was school?" "That's what I was trying to tell you. I love school. They have a PAINTING class Mom." He was thrilled about being able to paint at school and talked Ally and Sonny into buying him an easel for his own bedroom.

That night to celebrate a brilliant first day at school, every one sits down to a family meal. Ben tells them all about his teachers and painting, but when asked about friends he assured them that he didn't want to make friends at all.

The family dinner ended in dessert of birthday cake. It was time for Brodey to be 2 years old now. Anne is now 99 years old, she has outlived Bryce's age about 8 years. He passed away at 87.

After all of the kids and Anne were in bed Sonny and Ally have some alone time. They are just so much in love..still. They can't get enough of each other. They usually woohoo like 5 times when they do it. :)

Its finally the weekend which means the whole house is home and that means trouble. Ben does great on Saturday and goes out and collects rocks and sends them in the mail to be cut. He also stays up late painting on Friday and Saturday nights.

On Sunday Ben begs to go out to the art museum. Sonny doesn't want him going alone so he takes him himself while Ally and Anne plans a birthday party for Bryan. He is turning 5 and will start school the next Monday. Ben will be headed into Junior High being that he is 12 now and Brodey is pushing 4. Kids grow up too fast these days.

Ally has been having a lot of stomach problems again and that can only mean one thing. She is pregnant again and her and Sonny both want a little girl. Ally is pushing 50(elder) these days and having a baby this late in life is not usually a good idea, but they desperately want a little girl.

Bryan gains the genius trait. Allison knew something was special about him since he was a toddler He was a breathe of fresh air compared to Benjamin. Bryan was wiped out after his first day of kindergarten and came home to take a nap.

After Ben's first day of junior he came home from school and about gave his parents and Anne a heart attack. He had got in with the goth crowd and changed his style. Ally and Sonny are all for letting their children choose their own style, but Anne is still old fashion and thinks they should demand a change in his attitude and style.

Ben is always in a grumpy mood, although he doesn't have the grumpy trait. He is pissed about his Granny's attitude about his new style and gives her a horrible time. He is always scaring her and they fuss constantly.

Bryce has been coming from his grave and sleeping with Anne every night for years and one night for the first time since his death they share a kiss with each other. It was a awwwwwww moment. Ghost Bryce, founder of my legacy, kisses his still alive 102 year old wife.

Ally loves to paint while she is pregnant and paints a beautiful picture and hangs it up in the nursery. Bryan has moved in with Ben and Brodey will share a room with his sibling with he/she is born.

Ally also wanted to teach Brodey all of his toddler skills before the new baby comes. She teaches him to talk in no time. Within hours all but the potty training skill is complete and Mom and toddler are exhausted. Bryan begs to take a painting class and does that while Mom teachers Brodey his skills.

Finally after many years of worry, Ben brings home his first friend from school. Her name is Darlene and is a really sweet kid that seems to understand Ben perfectly. Ally can almost see stars in his eyes when they are around each other. He tells her his plots of torturing his granny and brothers. He never wanted brothers only sisters.

Benjamin has his 14th birthday party at the park and grows into a teenager. During the party Ally goes into labor. Ben does an amazing job at getting Brodey and Bryan home and in bed by time his mom and dad got home with his brand new sister. Becky is an artistic, clumsy little girl. She is going to be one protected kid. Ben completely falls in love with his little sister and swears right then that no body will ever hurt that girl or he'll kill them.

What will happen with Darlene and Ben now that he has a little sister to "protect". Will Bryan and Brodey be left out as just the middle children?
